On several occasions, involving additional work, changes we wanted at move-in, and on the one-year anniversary, we would say to the workers, ‘Oh, that’s OK,‘ or, ‘that looks fine to us.’ On more than one occasion, Al’s subcontractors responded, ‘No, Al wouldn’t like it.’ Or, ‘Al wants us to do it this way.’ Of course ‘this way,’ for Al means taking the time to be sure it is right. The subcontractors know that if they want to work on Al’s projects, there are no shortcuts.
      We love our home, and we have the confidence that comes from knowing that Al built it. That says it all.”
