I would do it again in a heartbeat

We bought a house from Al Kelekci at HASK construction in 2006. Al went beyond our expectations with small concerns we had even after several years. 4 years after the closing, we had HASK Renovations finish one room in the basement as an exercise room. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. This was the smoothest renovation we have ever experienced. Al is an expert in his field and he treats your house as if it is his own. He has very high standards, he can listen and he is always willing to give his advice. If we ever decide to part with this house and build, we would ask HASK Construction first to be our builder!

Hask Custom Homes is a reliable, innovative, high-quality residential builder. I would recommend them for any new construction or remodel job of whatever size. They are professional, knowledgeable, dependable, and get work done on budget and on time. The owner, Al Kelekci, is personally involved in his jobs, communicates effectively, and will make sure things are done right and that customers are fully satisfied. I'm a fan.

Hask Custom Homes was our first choice to build our home, but we interviewed several other builders who were recommended by friends and neighbors. Al (the owner of Hask) stood out from the pack immediately, and I'm so glad we hired him. We bought a Buckhead ranch off West Paces Ferry, gutted it and expanded the footprint a little. Start to finish: 5-1/2 months! Al is a gem. He has great skills in organization, budgeting, project management, and sub-contractor management. His communication is excellent. He contributes good ideas. His integrity is beyond reproach. We ended up with a cost-plus contract since we hadn't finalized the building plans/specs when we hired Hask. With the wrong builder, this could be disastrous, but Al treated our money as if it was his own (prudently!). We've now been in our home for over a year, and occasionally call Al if we have questions. He is always quick to respond. We can't recommend Al Kelekci and HASK Custom Homes highly enough, and would be more than happy to discuss our experiences with anyone considering hiring him.

We used Hask Custom Homes to help us design and build out an unfinished basement. The built out space included a workout room with rubber flooring and mirrored walls, a family room with built-in bookcases, a pool room with bar/kitchenette, a craft room, a bedroom, and a full bath. The space also included a storage closet, linen closet, and two bedroom closets. Hask helped with everything from floor to ceiling including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, walls, flooring, stonework, appliances, fixtures, etc. Al Kelekci and his team were wonderful to work with! They were very communicative from start to finish and cognizant of the budget we had in mind. Both Al and the site manager were always professional and responsive. They were also very patient in explaining work and projects along the way. I was impressed with all the subcontractors on site and thought all were professional and all cleaned up well after themselves. We were pleased with our project from start to finish and are loving our new basement! Friends that see it are "wowed" by how great it looks - particularly those that saw it unfinished. We have referred Hask to several friends already.

Before writing this, we looked at the other customer comments on the HASK Custom Homes website. They are all true, and all express our experience as well. Al Kelekci is unlike any builder I have ever worked with. He is responsible and concerned, with high attention to detail, resulting in the highest quality work product. I have worked with other contractors over the years, and the experience was always a challenge. Once 90% of the job was completed, they were gone. Al is a sharp contrast to those experiences. He follows up, keeps in touch, to make sure everything is working the way it is supposed to work. He relentlessly tracks the work of subcontractors to be certain they are performing to his standards.It is 2011, and we have been in our home just over a year now. It was Al who called to remind us to look around for the occasional paint bubble, sheet rock ripple, or crown moulding separation from weather changes. He had a crew come through and take care of everything. More importantly, they were so clean and efficient that in the evening I could not tell which rooms they had worked on. On several occasions, involving additional work, changes we wantedat move-in, and on the one-year anniversary, we would say to the workers, ‘Oh, that’s OK,‘ or, ‘that looks fine to us.’ On more than one occasion, Al’s subcontractors responded, ‘No, Al wouldn’t like it.’ Or, ‘Al wants us to do it this way.’ Of course ‘this way,’ for Al means taking the time to be sure it is right. The subcontractors know that if they want to work on Al’s projects, there are no shortcuts.We love our home, and we have the confidence that comes from knowing that Al built it. We used Al Kelekci, owner of Hask Custom Homes, to build our home in 2009-2010. He built a beautiful quality home and made the process easy and enjoyable. He was extremely helpful and informative from beginning to end. He attended planning meetings with our architect and offered cost saving and innovative ideas while still maintaining a good working relationship with the architect. He advised us through all of the selection and construction phases, and we were so appreciative of his patience and kindness towards us. Hask Custom Homes went above and beyond our expectations and our building experience could not have been better. I have used a lot of builders in the past, but after I worked with Al, he will be the only one I use in the future. Al goes above and beyond in every aspect of the job and his commitment to perfection is unsurpassed. Even after the house was complete, he would continue to make sure we were happy and make any corrections that he deemed necessary. Now, years later after the warranty expired, he has continued to help and act as if the warranty still exists. If I have a problem, I call Al’s team and they respond immediately. It is unheard of that a builder makes house calls and helps with problems a homeowner may have years after the homeowner moves in, but that is exactly what Al from Hask Custom Homes has done. He is the only builder I would use in the future.

Hask Construction, especially Al and Adam, recently built our new home in Sandy Springs. I cannot recommend them enough in terms of quality of work, attention to detail and prompt response to any issues that have arisen even a year after construction (and there have not been many). What I am most impressed with is the leadership's and the firm's integrity and transparency through the process of construction and renovation. Our family loves the very high quality of materials and workmanship that they employ. If we were to build another home, we would absolutely turn to Hask to take on such a difficult task, knowing we are in experienced, honorable and quality hands.
